Scheduled walk-throughs while you are away
We walk the property on a schedule we set with you, inside and out. Doors and windows secure, no water where water should not be, nothing that smells like it has gone wrong, heat holding where it should be holding.
You get photos and a written note after every visit, the same report our maintenance plan customers get. If everything is fine, the report says everything is fine. That is what you are paying for.
Winter checks on an empty house
Vacation home maintenance in Montana mostly comes down to watching the temperature. A furnace that quits in February does not only cost you a furnace. It costs you the pipes, the drywall, the flooring, and whatever was being stored in the basement.
Winter visits confirm the heat is still running, check the places pipes freeze first, and look for the early signs: a cold spot on a wall, a door that will not shut because the frame has moved.
After a storm, on request
Wind and heavy snow are the two that do damage here. If something has come through while you are away, ask and we will go out and look, then send photos of whatever we find.
We do not promise to reach every property after every weather event. We would rather say that plainly than make a commitment we cannot keep across a service area this size.
When we find something
We call you first. For most second home maintenance problems the right move is a decision you make, not one we make on your behalf.
Once you tell us how you want it handled, we either fix it ourselves if it is in our lane or line up the right licensed trade and get them access. You should not have to manage that from four hundred miles away.
What we hand off
We are not a licensed electrician, plumber, or HVAC contractor. A dead furnace, a burst supply line, or anything at the panel goes to a licensed specialist. We get them access and send you photos of the result.
Common questions
- Can someone check on my house while I'm away?
- That is exactly what this service is for. We agree a schedule with you, walk the property inside and out, and send photos plus a written note each time. Nothing gets repaired without your say-so, so a visit never turns into an invoice you were not expecting.
- How often will you visit?
- As often as the property needs, on a schedule we set with you rather than a fixed package. An occupied house checked between trips is a different job from a cabin standing empty all winter.

Some of what sits alongside this work is not ours. These are the local businesses we bring in, and they perform that work themselves.
